Looking at these cute little gnome faces is my love language, especially if they're on an adorable snuggly blanket, or a comfy pair of pajamas, or cozy house slippers. Or all of the above! For those of you who are new here, you don't know how I started my store and what it means to me. Long story short, I had a health scare. The problems I'm having are still there, and I still don't know why, but my mindset has done a complete 180 thanks to the Gnomes at Mama's Gnome Shop. I started the shop as a way to raise awareness for the disease I thought I had (it's still a possibility, but hey, I'm fine with no for now)--as a way to cope. I had nobody to talk to, to cry to, or to just be there for me and tell me my symptoms are valid and concerning, it will be okay, and they've got my back. That led me into a great depression. You also don't know this, but I simply can't afford to get depressed. It doesn't go well for me. I'll leave that there.
Anyway, starting the shop actually became extremely therapeutic. Not only was it something to help me keep my mind off of things, but I felt I was doing a good thing--raising awareness for MS to start. Also, and you ADD people will know what I mean, but it gave my racing thoughts an outlet. i'd work on one collection, then hey, on to another for a minute. Oh, and wait, let's work on the mailer. And now a post. Back to the first collection. You get my drift, I think. So kick your feet, up, snuggle in with your gnome blanket, read a bit more, and I'll tell you which of these gnome-tastic creations of mine makes my heart sparkle. Oh you don't have a gnome blanket? 1. Our Best Seller
These low top ladies' sneakers are from our Autism Awareness Collection. Somebody approached me and asked if I would be willing to donate some items etc. to a good cause. There is an event coming up, put on by an autism foundation, and they were planning to raffle off a gift basket. I don't know if I can/should mention their name here, but you all know who you are. So far I had the MS Awareness collection, but I have a nephew with autism and the thought of helping the cause, in even a small way, made my heart happy. It's not the collection that gets me with this one, per say, but the bag itself. Really I love all the bags! They're high quality, inexpensive, and stylish--and so far we've made some great designs with them too! This is one of the many fan favorites. People love these pajamas. For those of you who aren't totally into gnomes (I don't get it but whatever)--you'll notice there are no gnomes on them. These are from our Valentine's Day Collection so I've taken them off the virtual shelves for now, but these pajamas can be designed with any of our collections. Things have come a long way since creating Mama's Gnome Shop. Now you know all about it, and about my passion for the shop. It's not even about selling or making money.
