Well...your votes about what was on the other side of the door were spot on! After finding where the kids had scurried off to I investigated behind the door.
These little trouble makers were out like a light. Or three. Didn't even hear me come in. You know they don't move in the presence of humans but I've learned to tell when they are awake and notice me.
Hopefully it'll calm down some around here, since grumpy gnome is gone. We'll see, I guess!
