Hey, y'all, it's been a week! 📅 The seedling 🌱 is still here with us--whew. I was worried there for a minute. My husband's dramatics didn't help! He told me my seed was going to die! ☠️ To be fair, it still might--and he'll be just as much to blame as me! It’s so little it's almost embarrassing to photograph--but I did anyway!
Papi Gnome's Tip of the Week: Don't travel 🧳 with your new plant until it's taken to the soil. Taking it in the car, 🚗 back and forth, could stress it--and it might not survive, even if you're really careful. Plus if you, say, hit a deer 🦌 while driving (like we did this week) it definitely won't make it!
My Tip of the Week: buy a bonsai plant that's already fully grown. These seed shenanigans are for the birds. Who has this kind of patience?!
Yes, we hit a deer, and yes we're okay. The car 🚘 is not, though, and most importantly, the deer is not. Such a sad sight. There's still animal fur on the car. I'm dropping it at the shop today. I think it might be totaled.
I should pause this mini series of blogs, 💻 and come back in 5️⃣ years. What do y'all think??? 💭 I'll at least slow way down on the updates. not much happens in a week of bonsai seed land. i'm thinking of giving up the gnomes' daily spot too.
